Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Family Vacations Hub. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the application, website, and related services (the “Service”).

Acceptance:By signing in to or otherwise using the Service — including creating an account, signing in by email magic link or phone one-time code, or accessing any feature — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not sign in or use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

The Service is intended to help users organize and coordinate group travel, trips, events, activities, transportation, reservations, expenses, and shared content.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes.

2. User Accounts and Eligibility

You may be required to create an account to access certain features.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain account security
  • Keep login credentials confidential
  • Notify us of unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Minimum age.You must be at least 13 years old to create your own account. Children under 13 may only participate through a parent's or legal guardian's account using the child profile (“dependent”) feature. Parents or legal guardians who create and manage profiles for children are responsible for supervising child participation and any content associated with those profiles.

3. User Content

Users may upload or share content including:

  • Photos
  • Comments
  • Reservations
  • Itineraries
  • Tasks
  • Trip details
  • Expense information

You retain ownership of your content.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, display, and process the content solely for operating and improving the Service. When you choose to activate an AI feature (such as Trip Recap, caption suggestions, or memory search), you grant us permission to transmit the relevant content — including photos, journal notes, and trip details — to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate the requested output. This transmission occurs only upon your explicit action and is described fully in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate laws or regulations
  • Harass or harm others
  • Upload unlawful or offensive content
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Disrupt or interfere with the Service
  • Upload malicious software or code
  • Use the Service for fraudulent purposes

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely upon third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party platforms, content, or availability.

7. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

Features may change, be modified, or discontinued at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including branding, design, software, and functionality, is owned by Family Vacations Hub and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the Service without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Lost data
  • Trip disruptions
  • Reservation issues
  • User disputes
  • Third-party failures
  • Content uploaded by users
  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading output generated by AI features, including trip recaps, captions, and search results

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Vacations Hub from claims arising out of:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your content
  • Your violation of these Terms

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Payments and Money Movement

The Service includes expense-tracking and IOU features. We do not process payments, hold funds, or move money on behalf of users. Any “Pay via Venmo”, “Pay via Cash App”, or similar action only opens the corresponding third-party payment app or website with pre-filled details; the actual transfer is handled by that third party under its own terms. We are not responsible for failed transfers, chargebacks, errors, or disputes between users arising from third-party payments.

15. Content Takedown and Copyright

If you believe content posted to the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us at the email address below with: (a) a description of the work or right you believe is infringed, (b) the location within the Service where the alleged infringing content appears, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the content is unauthorized. We will review and remove infringing content where appropriate.

We may also remove user content that violates these Terms or that we believe is harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.

16. Electronic Communications and SMS Messaging

By providing your email address or phone number and using the Service, you consent to receive transactional electronic communications required to operate the Service, including sign-in codes, security alerts, and reservation reminders, sent to those addresses or numbers.

SMS / Text Message Program

Program name: Family Vacations Hub Authentication

Program description. When you choose to sign in or verify your account using a phone number, Family Vacations Hub will send you a one-time passcode (OTP) by SMS to authenticate your identity. These messages are strictly transactional. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Consent. Users who provide a mobile phone number consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to account authentication and security. By entering your mobile phone number and requesting a sign-in code, you expressly consent to receive up to one (1) SMS text message per authentication attempt from Family Vacations Hub. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and consent to receive SMS is not a condition of using any other feature of the Service.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You will receive one SMS per sign-in or verification request you initiate.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Family Vacations Hub is not responsible for any charges assessed by your carrier.

How to opt out. To stop receiving SMS messages from Family Vacations Hub, reply STOP to any text message we send. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and then no further SMS messages. Note that opting out will disable phone-based sign-in; you may continue to sign in with an email magic link.

Help. For help with the SMS program, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at admin@familyvacationshub.com.

No third-party sharing. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is transmitted solely to Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, strictly for the purpose of sending authentication codes on our behalf.

Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you do not receive a code, request a new one or use email sign-in.

Non-essential notifications. You may opt out of non-essential push notifications at any time from your device notification settings. Transactional messages (such as sign-in codes and security alerts) may continue to be sent as they are necessary to operate the Service.

17. Artificial Intelligence Features

The Service includes optional AI-powered features, including Trip Recap, social media caption suggestions, natural language photo search, and AI-generated travel stories. These features are provided for convenience and are entirely opt-in.

User-initiated only.AI features are activated solely by your explicit action (e.g., tapping a “Generate” or “Suggest with AI” button). No content is transmitted to any AI provider automatically or in the background.

Content transmitted.When you activate an AI feature, relevant trip content — which may include trip details, reservation names and locations, journal notes, and up to 8 trip memory photos — is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the requested output. By using these features, you consent to this transmission as described in our Privacy Policy.

No accuracy guarantee. AI-generated content (including recaps, captions, and search results) is produced by a large language model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect the actual events of your trip. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on or sharing it. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, quality, or fitness of AI-generated content for any purpose.

No training use. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its AI models. Your photos, notes, and trip details are processed transiently to generate a response and are not retained by Anthropic beyond the completion of the request.

Responsibility for shared content. If you choose to share AI-generated captions, recaps, or stories publicly (e.g., on social media), you are solely responsible for that content and its accuracy. We are not liable for any claims arising from AI-generated content that you publish or share.

18. General Provisions

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to the Service and supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of substantially all assets.
